Kinetic Balls - Updates in-bound for the incredibly popular app!

Jacksonville, Florida - 25/1/2010 - Motion 9 Studios' little free engine that could - Kinetic Balls - has rised to the 2nd most popular app in the education category of the app store! In addition to this it is now the 12th most popular download in the simulation category and top 76 in most downloaded games! All this from a company nobody even heard about until about a week ago. Motion 9 Studios is promising a lot more titles on the way, though, most of which are high-quality games which have months of planning, testing, and development behind them, like Fleet Admiral.

In order to celebrtate the success of Kinetic Balls Motion 9 Studios has rushed ahead with its launch on the Google Android and developed several new skins for it (images included below). These skins include new methods of play as well and particle effects along with some animated backdrops. They also pledge to continue updating the app by adding more skins every few weeks. As Producer Sravan Chitnani put it, "We really want to get more buzz for our company... For Droid, since we are oging to sell it [for 99 cents], I'm thinking of many differint skins." Lead art director Ian Boswell chimed in, "indeed we are going to be adding lots of skins, and we openly support anyone out there wanting to offer suggestions for more. We are also planning to integrate the long-awaited gyroscopic controlls and even entirley new gameplay features in the coming months. We have an obligation to the 10,000+ people who have now downloaded our product that they continue to receive the best of the best from us. I, personally, don't feel like Kinetic Balls is even 1/10th as good now as it will be after this next update! Just you wait, people! It's going to be awesome."

Motion 9 Studios, a company founded by video game designers from around the world and based on the East Coast United States, has managed to develop a long line of quality products, though most are only in early Alpha and Beta stages they clearly have a lot of potential for growth. Growth which they hope will begin by testing the waters with the revolutionary puzzle game "Flinger Frenzy" which they claim is not only hard to put down but which could even attract "non-gamers" and "Tetris fans."

Addicting new puzzle game is Motion 9 Studios' debut title!

Jacksonville, Florida - 21/1/2010 - Many puzzle games have come out since Tetris, some of which involve falling blocks, some of which involve folding space. At the end of the day though, the truly accessible puzzle games are ones which often are described as "Tetris-like". Unlike many video games, though, Tetris has a certain magic about it that makes it fun and interesting even to people who don't necessarily enjoy playing video games as a past time. This same magic is back and this time it's in an entirely new puzzle game experience!

"Flinger Frenzy", developed by Motion 9 Studios was released to the iTunes app store as of January 20, 2010. At a cost of 2.99 based soley on gameplay quality most critics have called it a gamble to rely on generating a fanbase from nowhere. To increase sales and get the word out about Flinger Frenzy they are putting the game on sale. Starting this Friday and running through the entire weekend until the 25th of January, 2010 it will be on sale at a special debut price of just 99 cents! It received a 3.5 out of 5 stars from AppStruck. Motion 9 Studios has been hard at work for several months honing its skills and devising formulas for creating games which they, as gamers themselves, like to play.

Lead director Ian Boswell (a psychologist-turned game developer who has worked in the game development industry for 5 years and wrote a thesis on video game 'addiction') explains, "When we started Motion 9 Studios it was in the same vain as any other small business, but we are particularly focused on quality video game development. We don't just limit ourselves to video game production, however. We have graphic novels, a recipe book, and other projects currently in development for both the iPhone and Droid. With Flinger Frenzy, specifically, we found a game which was, by itself, very hard to put down. I would even go so far as to call it 'addicting' and the simple control scheme has driven even non-gamers to sit and play with it on their iPhones for hours. What we intent to do eventually is evolve the game so as to add more synesthesia-based content like dynamic background skins and an awesome soundtrack."

With its intuitive control scheme and good reception so far it seems Flinger Frenzy is definitely worth checking out, especially if you're a casual gamer or a fan of puzzle games. Some Youtube videos of Flinger Frenzy in action are currently up and available for viewing at the Company's Youtube Profile: http://www.youtube.com/motion9studios It's on sale for this weekend only (for now) so now is the best time to get hours of playtime for just 99 cents. Kinetic Balls - Now for the iPhone & Droid with more skins!

Jacksonville, Florida - 21/1/2010 - Do you remember being in science class and noticing some metal balls hanging from strings on your teacher's desk? Sometimes called a Newton's Cradle, or Kinetic balls, this executive toy with bizarre origins has been fascinating people for ages. Another popular executive toy which has been selling around the world lately, as many know, is Apple's iPhone. Perhaps it was inevitable, then, that these two things should come together in Motion 9 Studio's first free app: Kinetic Balls for the iPhone and iPod Touch, coming soon to the Google Droid.

Kinetic Balls, developed by Motion 9 Studios was released to the iTunes app store as of January 20, 2010 and is completely free! There's really no reason not to give it a try and add it to your app list on your iPhone or iPod touch. Already growing to one of the most popular simulation apps this week, it has been getting a lot of positive reviews and is holding a score of 3.5 stars! This is only based on just the first few days of the app's launch! Lead director Ian Boswell (a psychologist-turned game developer) notes, "Kinetic balls is the kind of app which only has room to grow. It's got a number of skins to choose from, including basketballs, cocoanuts, and other fun things to smack around while dangling from strings or ropes. We can basically fit all the play of the toy in the palm of your hand and you can take it on the go, but being more than just that, we're able to continue adding more skins to the game. We'll only do so, though, if it manages to prove itself popular enough to warrant further investment on our part. As the graphic designer I was basically responsible, along with my colleague Bertrand Joseph, for all of the game's artwork and It's not hard for us to go back and, as a 2-man design team add more balls, more graphics, more buttons and then incorporate those. The hard part is finding the time to do so when we've got neatly 10 more games on the way which we're working very hard on as graphic designers and animators."

The company has even produced a somewhat comical Youtube trailer to promote kinetic balls for the iPhone. It can be viewed below.

So, as the promo video asks, "what have you got to lose?" You can download Kinetic Balls right now and play around with it to your heart's content. If you're browsing via a computer we suggest you visit http://www.motion9studios.com for more information and app store links.
